About Top Chimney Sweeps

We sweep, inspect and repair chimneys across the Kansas City metro, on both sides of the state line. Licensed, insured, and Google Verified through Google Local Services — which means Google independently checked the licence, the insurance and the background of the people coming to your house.

What you can verify about us

Everything on this page is checkable. We have deliberately left off anything that is not.

  • 4.9 stars from 75 reviews on our Google Business Profile — go and read them
  • Licensed and insured, verified by Google before we were allowed to run Local Services Ads
  • Open 24 hours, 7 days a week — the phone is answered
  • Every photograph on this site is a job we did ourselves

Things we will not do

This trade has a reputation problem, and most of it is earned. Here is what we have ruled out.

We will not publish a review count we cannot prove. Our old website claimed 500 reviews in one place, 1,000+ customers in another, and 892 in its code. The real number is 75. A customer checks that in four seconds, and the moment they catch it, nothing else on the page is believed either.

We will not use stock photography. Not of technicians, not of vans, not of job sites. If you see a chimney on this site, we worked on it. Photos of other companies’ work are easy to spot and they contradict the entire argument for hiring us.

We will not sell you a free estimate. The $69 inspection means the technician is paid to look properly and to tell you when nothing is wrong. It comes off the invoice the moment you book the work.

Our work

Before

Kansas City chimney with spalled brick faces, eroded mortar joints and white efflorescence below a cracked concrete crown
Freeze-thaw damage: brick faces shedding and joints washed out, with the crown cracked through.

After

The same Kansas City chimney after repointing, with a newly poured concrete crown and two stainless steel caps installed
Same chimney: joints repointed, new crown poured with an overhang, two stainless caps fitted.

Before

Interior of a sooted, corbelled brick smoke chamber before parging, with heavy creosote deposits on rough brickwork
Smoke chamber before: raw corbelled brick, heavy deposits, every ledge catching creosote.

After

The same smoke chamber after parging, showing a smooth sealed surface that improves draft and reduces creosote buildup
After parging: smooth, sealed, and far harder for creosote to grip.
